A comprehensive course of study where students learn and grow.
The University of Minnesota Center for Jewish Studies provides a unique perspective for student of history and culture. Our interdisciplinary program brings together scholarly experts from 12 academic departments and disciplines with a course of studies that cuts across historical periods and geographies.
As a degree-granting center, Jewish Studies offers an undergraduate major and minor. These degrees provide students with a balance between the biblical and modern components, including the classic curriculum enhanced by such courses as Jews in film, popular culture, and contemporary Jewish literature.
